It has all gone a bit crazy over the last couple of weeks with all projects seeming to kick off at once, but that is great because I have a lot of things to get my teeth into. The biggest project that I am working on at the moment is danceroom Spectroscopy – or at least that is what I have been calling it until now, we are in fact creating a brand new product and you can see us testing it at the Pervasive Media Studio here:

Can you imagine being able to see the invisible and being able to play with particles that are so small they cannot be seen by our eyes?! Not only that, to able to do it in your lessons in school instead of using dry and confusing textbooks. What if you could actually see how molecules move and interact, like you are zooming into the make-up of the air around us or the chemicals in everyday objects and substances? Well that is our vision for how people will learn to discover the world around us in the future, and the not-too-distant future if we have our way. We are very excited to have been given funding from Innovate UK for nearly £80000 to develop these tools and make our vision a reality. So atoms and particles will be part of a nano-fairground where you can do virtual experiments and have fun exploring what happens when you turn up the heat, put on the pressure or put two highly attractive bodies next to each other!
I am looking for teachers who are interested in finding out more about the project so please leave a comment or get in touch if you want to know more.
Videos will be coming soon.
